Lizane Louw is a photojournalist residing in Cape Town South Africa.
Lizane is a very passionate photographer and photojournalist who’s interest in news and current events initiated an interest in a career in journalism and she has been working in the Media Industry in South Africa since August 2007. She worked as a contract photojournalist for publications of Media 24, Rapport, Kaap Rapport and Die Burger until December 2010. Over the last 4 years she had photographs and features published in Huisgenoot, You, The Argus, Cape Times and various other local and international publications. As a freelance photojournalist she contributes images to the Gallo Image Library and Africamediaonline.
She is currently pursuing a freelance career in photojournalism and documentary photography. Her current projects focuses on humanitarian photography and social documentary of the communities in and around Cape Town.
“My aim with photojournalism and documentary photography is to put focus on the human condition and to create an awareness of the events that I document through visual storytelling. I want to inform, enlighten, educate and guide people to make the change in the world that they want to see.”

Just saw the photos “kakwater”
As always… totally amazed and blown away by your ability to tell a story without saying a word. Just so happens to be my favourite kind of story… after having to listen to people jabbing on all day. MH
